This beautiful property was developed to encapsulate the highest quality standards in finish and technology. In addition to the innovative design and building techniques, the owner wished to have a full home automation system, providing everything they needed from their tablet or smartphone.
The sociable owners of Cherryburn were keen to develop a space that would allow them to entertain their friends on a regular basis, so we ensured their system had the very highest specification speakers installed into the ceiling, with their Autonomics music system designed to work in different zones, providing the right mood in the right space. We created a control system using Lutron products to ensure they could dim or raise their lights from their Elan interface without leaving an armchair, as well as raise their blinds to let the sunlight in. As with all LCR Integrated Systems home automation, we used an efficient and cost-effective cable schedule to ensure the property was wired to the highest standards and with the minimum impact on the building itself, to create a smart home nominated for the Local Authority Building Control Awards 2016.

To give the owners of Cherryburn the ‘Wow’ factor they needed for entertaining their friends and family, we designed a stylised lighting scheme that coupled subtle, stylish LED lighting with the latest in LED tape, allowing you to change the colour to suit your mood.
Coupled with the lighting, all fully controlled through the Elan gMobile 7 app for tablet or smartphone, the property had the highest quality speakers installed in the ceilings, as well as sound bars, tweeters and sub-woofers to create a home cinema style sound to match the industrial quality projection system. With minimum effort, the owners could start a party, recreate a cinematic experience or relax with mood lighting and gentle music.
